If you have a digital camera you will know that while higher resolutions are great they produce very large files. If you didn't live in South Africa it would be no problem to send these large files by email but with our pitiful upload speeds sending large files can be a lengthy process. Also, don't forget that if you are sending a large image to anyone still using 56K dial-up download a large image file can take ages, just for one picture. Always keep this in mind!
Anyway, for this reason a better option is to resize images, also for upload to Facebook. Facebook automatically resizes the images anyway so there really is no point in uploading te pictures at their original size as it just wastes your time and bandwidth.
